Conflict management - course description

Conflicts are an integral part of working life and have the potential to be both destructive and constructive. The goal of the course is to equip participants with the tools, strategies and skills necessary for effective and constructive conflict management. During the training you will learn why disagreements occur and how to bring balance.

How to behave in a conflict situation?

Remember that effective conflict management requires openness, flexibility and a willingness to cooperate. Pursuing conflict resolution in a constructive manner can yield positive results and contribute to a better understanding and relationship between the conflicting parties. Key aspects in conflict resolution are:

  • active listening,
  • peace of mind,
  • Cooperation,
  • seeking a compromise.

Cooperation in a team - dealing with conflict situations

During the course, participants will explore the theoretical underpinnings of conflict and its types in order to better understand its sources and dynamics. Different models of conflict resolution will be discussed, such as inclusive, collaborative, compromise or forceful approaches. This will give participants several strategies to choose from depending on specific situations. Conflict arises for various reasons, and the most important thing is not to run away from problems.

The course will also focus on developing communication skills, which are key in conflict resolution. Participants will learn effective interpersonal communication, active listening skills, questioning and constructive feedback.
